Cricket and I dropped in here Saturday morning for a quickie breakky... It is a small spot (well the downstairs area, didn't go upstairs), and they only take cash... The staff didn't really seem to know what was going on, but we ordered anyways... Eggs Benedict, no surprises there! The surprise was that there was cheese under the egg, and the chopped parsley definitely added something... It wasn't your usual eggs ben, but it was good, though of the two serves we ordered (4 eggs) one egg was hard! I don't really find that acceptable, if your job is to cook eggs, then you best know how to cook eggs! Wouldn't go back, based on the service and the hard egg, but it was a different and tasty experience...

With the season coming up we thought it best to get our essentials while we were in the area... Scarves and a lil onesie, too cute!

This is Traceys favourite place, because of this fact I have been here a fair few times... I usually make an effort to have their Toblerone cheesecake which is my favourite thing on the menu... The retro decor is very cute though the video game tables always seem to attract children, meaning I must limit my potty mouth... The past couple times we have been here it has been brunch, so I ordered my favourite egg dish, eggs benedict, and they never fail to do it well... Tracey had the wild mushroom risotto, going to the lunch more then brunch option... Both meals were delicious and I can see why we keep coming back here...

I'm not really into bars, especially bars in Richmond after big AFL games, but months ago Cricket decided that this was where she wanted to go for her 30th birthday drinks... Lucky for us when we arrived it was quiet, we had our pick of spots to sit, starting in one of those cosy booths inside and once there were too many of us we moved to the outside undercover beer garden... Overall I really liked the aesthetics of this spot, it was really cosy, though as the people poured in I lost my taste for it... Lucky for us we had a massive area with tables outside which we claimed, so we weren't troubled too much by randoms... On the way to the bathroom and eventually leaving it was troublesome though, it would seem that this brand of civillian don't move when asked:
me: 'excuse me'
them:nothing
me: 'excuse me'
them: nothing
me: 'EXCUSE ME' push 'evil bitches'

It just shouldn't have to be that way... Oh well... Overall it was a good, if not a little early (mostly due to me having to get up at stupid o'clock for the mothers day classic) night... Great company, nice venue... Happy 30th Cricket!

We have been here before and weren't that impressed with the food, even though everyone talks this place up big time... So I did some more research and was assured that if we ordered fajitas we would not regret it... Correct... I had the chicken and Mark had the char grilled vegetable fajitas, and they were goooood! I couldn't finish mine and ate more then I am designed to, these are big enough for two females... Mark cruised through his though... Cricket Mark and I shared a starter (the name escapes me), it was a cheesy fondue style dip and corn chips, it was yummy! So yes, for food, this place gets my approval this time, but the service was a drama...

We were there for crickets 30th birthday dinner so there were a few of us, we had a table in our own room, which I think added to the out of sight out of mind attitude of the staff... Mark had to hunt them down to take drink orders, and drinks took forever to get to our table... The food, when we finally got to order was quick in coming to the table though, which was a nice change to the overall service on the night... no photos of the food because you cant kill the mood of a party...
