These have been a long time coming, and still no release date aside from Spring 08... Just thought that they are quite lovely, a solid reminder of the infrared, and even though I didn't really like them, I understood why people do... I prefer these to the infrared, but not to the laser blues... The beauty part is that they are leather and mesh not plastic and mesh... Just not too hot on the mesh toe, a disaster to clean...

I'm sticking to not being a Jordan fan (even though the last two pairs of kicks i have posted have been Jordans, though not classic), but these Spizikes have got my attention... Day Trip to Bendigo

You may ask why a day trip to Bendigo? Tracey needs to get her k's up before the end of the financial year, so we decided on a day trip... Not sure how Bendigo was decided on, but off we went on Sunday... Both of us feeling a tiny bit rough from the night before, giving the trip that surreal feeling...
We ate lunch at The Shamrock Hotel, a parma for $14.50, and I must say that it was a really good parma! Great chicken, good sauce, loads of cheese, nice chips and the salad was wicked, loads of variety and not too much dressing...
We headed to the botanical gardens for a walk, it was quick as they aren't small, but the fernery was lovely... The plaque for it was really nice so I included a pic...
As we walked and then drove around the botanical gardens block we discovered that the Bendigo Prison and High School are next door to each other, not great council planning... The further we went it wasn't only the gardens, school and prison, it was also the aquatic centre and local oval, this block has a little bit of everything!

On the way there we saw a pretty church, so on the way home we checked it out... I was surprised at its size, considering that the population of Bendigo could fit into the MCG...

These came to my attention a couple weeks ago, I'm not a massive fan of Jordan's, much to Marks dismay, but I really like these... They are loosely based on Hyperion Spitfire MK VIII 253 Grey Nurse (pic below), Tinker Hatfield’s original inspiration for the original Air Jordan V’s... They are much nicer then any of the other force fusions that I have seen... And the grey nurse decorations are cute!

Sex and the City Trivia Game
I bought this game for Mich and Sek when it first came out, and it has taken this many years for me to get around to playing it with them... The game itself is quite fun, but it is the type of game that gets more fun the more cosmos you have had... I don't encourage drinking but this is one of those situations that is enhanced by spirits... The first time felt a little tricky though the rules are very basic, but by the second game it was completely natural, by the fifth it was very messy and confusing (cosmo related)... Overall Mich and Sek had won 2 games each and I only won one :( The game is only as good as the company you play it with, and I was in great company, and luckily Michelle makes great cosmos, I far exceeded my expected two drinks and had a great night!

Blind Faith - Ben Elton
I thoroughly enjoy Ben Eltons' books, have read 9 of 12, some obvious standouts were 'Chart Throb', 'High Society' and 'Dead Famous'... I feel like when I read one of his books I have to remind myself that chances are it wont end well, and this is a testament to that... To set the scene for the book its post flood (think global warming), in a society where not having a religion or faith is illegal, where there is no privacy and no secrets, people don't wear a great deal of clothing and everything you do at work and home is uploaded to the internet where people can watch you or you can watch others at any time... My first concerns were the terms used when referring to the over sexualised charge of this society, but once I got used to it, about 40 pages or so in, it became quite intriguing and enjoyable... And once that happened I ended up reading too quickly and now its over... An entertaining read with very interesting ideas, but not one of his best works...
